Spirit Week!

This week was spirit week. We had a dress up theme for every day:

Monday: Crazy Hair Day

Tuesday: Inside Out Day

Wednesday: Hat Day

Thursday: Pajama Day

Friday: Crazy Clothes Day 

We had so much fun!  We popped activities from our summer bucket list this week.  We had water drop races, took a nature crayon rubbing walk, made and flew kites, and created marble paintings.  My favorite was marble painting.  I saw a pin on Pinterest and had to try it.  The results were beautiful!  I want to make a few pieces for my dining room.  Some were very Pollack-esque.  

We had a free day on Friday and the kids were allowed to play Wii & in centers most of the morning. The kids were THRILLED!  They played Just Dance & sports like tennis.   Krystal and I got a turn as well...I think one of them recorded it with one of their iPods, so it was embarrassing, but fun!

Next week is Carnival Week.  I can't wait to tell them all of the fun activities we have planned...they will be "bouncing" with joy! (hint hint)

Minute to Win It Week!

 We played Minute to Win it games this week and it was so much fun! We played Office Fling, Separation Anxiety, Noodling Around, Match Maker, Egg Roll, and Junk in the Trunk. The kids were hilarious!

 

It was not an easy task finding space to do these crazy competitions.  Our classroom has been under construction and behind schedule.  This is what our room looked like two weeks ago:

It has been super stressful trying to do all of our planned activities and entertain the older kids in my old classroom full of toddler toys and books!  But, luckily, I think construction is finally wrapping up on our new classroom this weekend I am so excited! My only problem is storage. We will share the classroom with the church youth group, so we can't have any permanent storage in the room. We have two rolling shelves that I have attached pegboard to the back of. I just need to decide the best way to organize everything. I am sure we will figure something out & when we do I will post some pictures!

Next week is Spirit Week!
