After carnival week we had music week. We dressed according to the genre of music we had selected for the day and played appropriate music during free time. We had Rock-n-Roll day, Country day, '70's/Hippie day, and '80's day (my favorite!). It was so much fun!
We also made a music video that week. We divided up into groups of 5-6 and took turns lip-singing Footloose as I recorded them. I just used the video feature on my point-and-shoot to record and Windows Movie Maker to piece the video clips together. I added the music and some effects and burned it to a disk for the class to enjoy on the last day of the week. It turned out so great! I can't share on here of course, but this may be my favorite of all the activities we have planned to do this summer!
