Playing catch up! Carnival Week

I am so behind! The last few weeks have been CRAZY!  So I am going to try to play catch up in the next few weeks.  I don't want to catch you up all in one post because it would take days to read it! The last week I wrote about was Spirit Week.  The week after that was Carnival Week.

We popped balloons for the activities every day.  One day we tie-dyed t shirts to wear the next week. We used a Tye-dye kit from Wal-mart. The process was back breaking! It took us all morning to get everyone's shirts dyed and all night leaned over the bathtub to get them rinsed.  Then I had to find a place to hang 15 dye-dripping shirts up to dry.  They ended up on my front porch (they definitely added something to our curb-appeal!). I will not rule out dying shirts again, but I will never use this method with more than a couple of kids at a time again.  It was chaotic.  Next time, I will spring for the spray dye.  The results were pretty awesome though.

At the end of the week we put together a small carnival in our gym.  We played ring toss, bean bag toss, clothespin drop, and other simple games.  We also put up a bounce house.  The kids LOVED it! The teachers wished it would have held more weight so we could join in too!
